Who am I?
Kia Orana! Kia Ora!
My name is Lahaina Te Waimarama Solomon. I am 22 years old and a proud Cook Islands, Māori woman based in Tokoroa, New Zealand. I have 11 piercings in my ears (6 lobes - 3 on each ear, 1 conch, 4 cartilage - 2 in each ear), which is where my love for earrings comes in!
By Haina was created after I withdrew from the second half of my postgraduate Psychology degree. I chose to prioritise my wellbeing after experiencing several hardships and wanted to focus on activities that brought me happiness. Creating and designing earrings was one of those activities! What was once an idea has grown into 15 earring designs, multiple social media pages and an entire website dedicated to By Haina.

The earrings I have created are designed to be elegantly simple, classy and for everyday wear. Our motto was thought of with the hope to enlighten all types of individuals to recognise their beauty as uniquely their own, and to feel beautiful through the pieces they wear. Beauty comes in all different types of shapes, sizes, colours, body types, thinness', thickness', smoothness, hairiness, all the words that end in 'ness'!
What makes us beautiful, is us ...
In saying that though, who said we couldn't spoil ourselves with pretty things that make us feel beautiful, too? :)

By.Haina currently only ships throughout New Zealand via NZ Post.

Local Delivery:
The Omicron variant of COVID-19 is extremely infectious and transmissible. As a new small business owner and with most of New Zealand having just come out of lockdown, I believe it is safer for both myself and potential customers if I personally deliver local orders, rather than provide a pick-up option. Local Delivery is only available for orders within Tokoroa, at a flat rate charge of $3.00. Note: The local delivery fee pays for vehicle maintenance.
